Dr Billy Stoupas is a specialist General Practitioner and the principal of The General Practitioner. He completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with First Class Honours at Monash University, followed by a postgraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Deakin University. Dr Stoupas has since completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Care Medicine, a Diploma of Child Health, and the practical component of the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He also holds a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery. Dr Stoupas is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Kariyawasam has been practicing as a medical practitioner since 1994. She is actively involved in continuing education and has an interest in Women's Health, paediatrics and geriatrics. Dr Kariyawasam undertakes chronic disease care plans and mental health care plans. She has worked at the clinic site since 2003 and is well known and respected by our patients.

Dr Tian Tu graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012 and undertook his hospital training at The Alfred Hospital. He obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018 and completed a Diploma in Children's Health in 2017. Tian is actively involved in medical education, teaching medical students as a lecturer with Monash University and supervising GP registrars in training. He takes a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care, focusing on the whole person and promoting long-term wellbeing. With over ten years of experience practising yoga, Tian often integrates elements of mindfulness and movement into his approach to health.

Dr Esther Tan

Dr Esther Tan completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales. Since then, she has worked in various hospitals around South Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales in various specialities. Dr Tan obtained her RACGP Fellowship after completing her training in regional Victoria. As a GP, Dr Tan enjoys the interactions with patients from babies to adults and managing a variety of presentations.

Dr Popp graduated from Melbourne University in 1980 with 3rd Class Honours in Medicine and Surgery. He was invited to sit the Jamieson Prize in Medicine which is for the top 20 students. Dr Popp completed his intern year at Maroondah hospital and then completed a residency at Dandenong Hospital. In 1983, Dr Popp became a General Practitioner at Poath Road Medical Clinic focusing on Child and Family Medicine. Dr Popp is affiliated with Monash University's Department of General Practice assisting with clinical training of medical students and has previously lectured in Medical Ethics.

Dr Tarannum completed her Medical degree at Monash University (graduating with Distinction) in 2012, after completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) in 2008. She completed her General Practice training in New South Wales and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice medicine and has a passion for patient-centred care and particularly the opportunity to work in a team environment with patients, GP colleagues, nurses and specialist providers to ensure the best ongoing care and advocacy for her patients.
