The General Practitioner is a mixed billing clinic (i.e; we charge private consultation fees and also offer Bulk Billing in some circumstances).
Between 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday we offer Bulk Billing consultations for the following:
Students with a valid student card will be given a discounted consultation fee.
For such patients, consultations booked at other times (outside of 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday), a reduced private fee will apply. Please refer to the Reduced Fees section below.
Please be advised: for circumstances other than those outlined above, Bulk Billing is only at the treating doctor’s discretion and determined on a case by case basis.

All procedures (such as stitches, plasters, removal of foreign bodies etc) attract fees and charges at all times, please discuss these with your treating doctor or our reception staff during opening hours

On the rare occasion that your treating doctor agrees to write a repeat prescription without an accompanying consultation, a $10 script fee will apply. Please see our Policies section for more information.
Please inform us 24 hours prior to your booked appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. A cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee will be charged if you fail to cancel your appointment 24 hours before the appointment time. Please note the cancellation fee is NOT rebatable through Medicare.
If you fail to show up for an appointment a no show fee of 50% of the consultation fee will apply. Please note the no show fee is NOT rebatable through Medicare.
The General Practitioner is a mixed billing clinic. Payment of your consultation is required in full immediately following your consultation.
We prefer payments are made by EFTPOS or by credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). We do not impose any surcharges for payments of this type.
We accept payments by cash, however, we cannot guarantee correct change can be provided.
We do not accept payments by cheque.
It is the patient’s responsibility to provide evidence of current Medicare, Health Care or any concessional cards at the time of consultation.
For patients that have a valid Medicare Card and have nominated their bank details with Medicare, we are able to lodge your claim to Medicare on your behalf at the time of payment and the Medicare rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account. The rebate is usually deposited within 2 business days.
If you do not have your bank details nominated with Medicare, we can provide you with an invoice of your payment and you can submit your claim to Medicare yourself after your consultation.
You can advise Medicare of your banking details (BSB and account number) via the Medicare website , or their mobile App.
Patients who do NOT own a valid Medicare card will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate and are required to make full private fee payment at the time of their consultation.
